Thanks to having drawn all the pictures in the diaries of Pig I can call myself an illustrator. But I really don't feel like one - especially when I see the amazing work my peers produce. So when a good friend, and fellow author, asked if he could commission me to produce a piece of work for him, I was a little trepidatious. But then I thought, you know what, this gives me a reason to practice and improve on the scant talent I have. The truth is I rarely draw for pleasure, I just don't have the time. So being 'made' to do something was a good thing. I'd been looking for an excuse to use some inks and pencil crayons I bought in a mad Cass Art trolley dash. So that's what I did. And here are the results. I have to say I'm pretty chuffed. Proof an old dog really can teach itself new tricks.
