If I had a magic carpet and endless time, I would spend my time touring the country, nay the world, talking to and trying to inspire children. I love doing school visits. They are great fun. But it's not that easy, when you have two young children and writing deadlines, to fit them in. But luckily there is another way. The wonderful worldwide web, or more precisely the platforms it offers to chat on: skype, google hangout and the like.
I've talked to school children from Liverpool to Laos. With a little pre-prep, they are a blast. And best of all they are free. Here's a film I made to explain how simple the whole shebang is.
